We invite Muslim leaders, mosques, organizations, scholars, educators and individuals to affirm a shared direction: making the clear, wise and compassionate sharing of Islam a major communal priority.
Imagine 2050
Every mosque a bridge. Every Muslim an ambassador. Islam part of America's public conversation. We envision mosques that welcome their neighbors, Muslims equipped to share their faith with confidence and wisdom, and communities where people interested in Islam can encounter authentic relationships, education, hospitality and support. What could American Muslim life become if sharing Islam with our neighbors became one of the purposes connecting our work?

This is bigger than any one organization. We are not asking every Muslim organization to become a dawah organization. We are not asking existing organizations to surrender their identity, expertise or independence. And we do not need everyone doing the same thing. We are asking something simpler: Can we agree that sharing Islam with America should become a major communal priority? And if we agree: What can each of us contribute?

It began with a conversation in Chicago.
In August 2026, a small group of American Muslim leaders and practitioners involved in different dimensions of dawah gathered for a private National Dawah Summit. They wrestled with a common question: What would it take for sharing Islam to become a mission carried by the wider American Muslim community?
The summit produced a 2050 vision, commitments from participating organizations and a decision to invite additional organizations and leaders into the conversation. What began in that room should not remain limited to that room.
